Pros

The associates and customers are awesome. They make it a fun place to work.

Cons

Kroger has owned Fred Meyer for a while, but over the past few years, Kroger has been bringing Fred Meyer more in line with other Kroger companies and has destroyed the culture of Fred Meyer. They now want to run the stores with as little staffing as possible, which means very little customer service; so stressed out overworked employees and unhappy customers. They're simply banking on the convenience of one-stop shopping and low prices to bring customers in. They are losing great and loyal long-term employees and customers as well.

Pros

I would say the most important Pros is benefits for all employees and employee's discount.

Cons

Even though it says "flexible hours", it is not really flexible. The pay is not fair. Cashiers in non-food departments get less pay than cashiers in front-end doing the same job. The management is different by the store as well as the work environment and culture.
