Growing company with both opportunity and operational gaps - Anonymous employee Frankston Packaging Employee Review

Pros

Small team environment where it’s possible to have a noticeable impact. Variety of responsibilities offers a chance to learn across different areas of the business. Willingness to invest in certain tools and resources to support job functions. Health benefits and PTO are provided. Travel is occasionally supported when tied to company needs.

Cons

Limited formal training or onboarding; employees are often expected to self-start and figure things out as they go. Compensation may not always align with market standards for the region or job expectations. Communication between departments can be uneven, especially during periods of internal change. Processes and policies sometimes feel reactive rather than part of a long-term plan. Culture is impacted by long-standing issues within HR; specifically, a noticeable lack of empathy, consistency, and support, which affects morale across departments. Concerns are often dismissed unless coming from favored individuals.

Pros

There are some good people here and friendly.

Cons

Current HR person has here favorites, the pay is the worse and under the industry standards. Raises are hard to come by. Higher management doesn’t care about the employees treats them unfairly, people there are mostly felons and very lazy expecting you to take most of the work. The night supervisor spends his time sleeping in his office. Or trying to get in women’s pants and is racist against Hispanics. The worst part is no matter how hard you work they expect more and don’t care about you as long as you make the company money. Benefits are a joke and very expensive for what you make, no room for growth and the ones who deserve to move up don’t and are given even more work. There is a high turn over and every recruiter has heard nothing but bad things from this place. My suggestion is to stay away from this place because there is no overtime and only 40 hrs a week and starting paying is $14 an hr. Those who have been here the longest are making less then what new people coming in are making. There’s better jobs out there than this place.
