Pros

the new offices in La Défense.

Cons

In the Paris office, the atmosphere is toxic and management is far from transparent. Despite being promoted as an open and global environment, the reality is different. Not everyone is treated equally, even with the same experience and qualifications. The so-called 'multicultural' workplace is selective.....North Africans face unfair treatment, and it’s not just about visa issues. It starts with those who are supposed to help you with your visa process. Decisions are subjective, and the gap in treatment is obvious. Training and support also depend on how others perceive you, not on your skills. It’s high time to highlight this reality....a place that claims to be open to the world, but it should be noted that this openness is highly variable, starting with the treatment of some collaborators !

Pros

Decent overtime pay. I also had a decent training/onboarding experience, but this was not the norm.

Cons

Exploitative, 80+ hour work weeks, 2am messages from attorneys, burn-out model for paralegals and associates (scoop them up after BA or JD and overwork them until they quit), misrepresent case load during interview by 50% of total, low ceiling for non-attorney career advancement. Have an exit plan.
