Pros

In the JHB agency the working hours are great, and they pay better than most agencies do. You get a good work/life balance and don’t often work overtime or weekends.

Cons

You get no benefits like a pension fund etc. Not much of a company culture - It’s quite corporate there. FoxP2 JHB don’t believe in doing award winning work. Due to it being a little small, there is a lot of micromanaging that takes place. The management style there is very passive-aggressive and internal communication is poor. You often have to deal with bad tempers and fowl moods. Not an ideal place for creatives looking to grow. Overall, people are not happy there and their staff turn around is quite big.

Pros

I worked in the Joburg office (There's also one in Cape Town). - The working hours are great and there is very little overtime and almost no working on the weekends. - The employees while I was there were incredibly friendly and great to work with. The agency's greatest strength is the people they employ.

Cons

- There is no transparency and process in terms of salaries, annual reviews and pay increases. There are also no benefits (RA and Health insurance). - Management is out of touch with the employees and tends to micro-manage. - The work environment is toxic in terms of how conflict is handled. Management would often scream and swear at employees. This created an uneasy environment in which employees would have to regulate how we behaved to mitigate management's outbursts. - No clear growth opportunities and no attempt to map out growth paths for employees. - No desire to innovate in their work. Be prepared to make TV ads and billboards. - High staff turnover.
