Pros

Not sure there are any

Cons

This has to be the most toxic place you'll ever work! People are very title proud and yet the titles mean nothing since they cannot do the job. I've witnessed managers humiliate in front of an audience, gaslight and create psychologically unsafe environments for people to work in. I raised many issues with managers and given them manageable and tangible solutions to problems but they refused to implement. They claim flexibility but in reality there is no such thing! You are micromanaged to an incomprehensible amount! If you voice any dissatisfaction you're met with resistance and it's recorded and used manipulatively. They hire people in roles where they have absolutely no experience or knowledge in. Everyone is out to get each other. Can't make any friends because if you say something it'll spread like wildfire. Managers are passive aggressive. Courses that are offered are a joke too - being on the backend you really learn that students are getting a poor education. I've witnessed times where staff were reaching burnout and in a townhall raised it with founders for them to turn around and say it's the job lots of people are interested, you just have to keep going. There was no sympathy or offering to look into things to make it more manageable - considering the cofounder is big on mental health wellbeing, I found that laughable! Lastly this place claims they care about you and that work should revolve around you and your life - NOT TRUE! They could not despise anything more than this- they want you available at all times. Dont pick this employer if you genuinely need to work flexibly, a safe environment, good ethos, and if you like job satisfaction.

Pros

Proper onboarding. Great systems to manage a multi-zone virtual team. A very talented and experienced team to work with. Great work/life balance. Lot of communication using Slack so you always feel you are part of a team. Good salary and benefits including: rec, sick and parental leave.

Cons

You have to go through three interviews plus an assessment process which is nerve racking but it is worth it.

Pros

Flex time, no one cares what you do until they need something

Cons

Poor benefits Weak leadership Limited opportunities to maximise your potential. These are given to their favourites and the ones leadership pay attention to. Be loud and you will be heard. Nepotism and The “Good Ol' Boys Club". If you have no connections to any of the leaders, forget about doing well here. You will be removed abruptly with no advanced warning. No matter how hard you work, no one in the leadership will care, know, or reward that unless you are their blue-eyed 'boy' The company is badly run, so it's best to avoid joining it. They had a major RIF. Last RIF was so badly done that many existing employees are now trying to leave. FR now has a bad reputation and employees mistrust the leaders.
