Pros
Almost two years ago I was hired as a Project Manager at Fourth Wall Events. Here, I am surrounded by amazingly talented and driven people. I consider myself extremely lucky to be a part of such a collaborative, funny, inspiring team - who are truly like family. Yes, we work hard - but if you're in this industry, you're going to! That's part of it's charm, really. This is not a career for the faint of heart :) Fourth Wall is a fast growing company and due to the pace at which we are making changes, there have been the occasional hiccups. These hiccups are nothing we can't, or don't bounce back from - as a team! Our team leaders (President and VP) are our bosses, yes - but our friends as well. We are treated with respect and our input matters. I don't know about you, but I have never had a boss give me a week off to mourn the death of a loved one. I've never seen another President of a company travel through hurricane Sandy conditions to bring food and necessities to their employees. Yes, some days are better than others. Yes, we get tired. Yes, we complain about this and that, now and again. Who doesn't? It IS work after all, but it's work I can be proud of. It's work that I look forward to. We work hard, we play hard and somewhere in between - we find the time to help each other with anything and everything. I wake up happy. That says it all.
Cons
There are no "CONS" per se. As I stated, there are better days than others. Additionally, there have been some "growing pains", as we succeed in expanding the company. However, all of these situations are just part of life and the human condition. In these "hiccups", we find the opportunities to learn, to change, to grow or to rectify. Any problems that have arisen have always been addressed and in turn - handled to the best of abilities.
