Poor leadership - the C-Suite in particular is made up of people who were never quite qualified to be there
There is little room to go outside the box if it means not following the rules of some subpar middle manager
The product itself - it's cool because it's solving a need in an old space. But the product team sucks. They constantly push out new features at the whim of closing a deal, meanwhile the core feature, load tracking, still doesn't function well. The CPO came from Tivo (lol) and is more like a business development person. They treat the engineers in India like cattle, but because the CPO, CTO and CEO are all Indian, they somehow get a pass for this.
Lack of transparency. It's not uncommon to be completely out of the loop on things.
The culture was never empowering.
