Its an average work at home job

Cons

Got an offer letter for a normal seasonal 6 month full time job, go into training, which is unnaturally short (5 days) and in the middle of it learn that our whole class was hired to work for 3 10 hour days and then we would be laid off. Yes you read that right! Baited to work for 3 days only, thinking it was a normal long term job. Oh and the icing on the cake of lies is that they tell you "it's fine you'll be put into new positions after the ramp down" well that turned out to be lies too. You have to re-interview for a new job like everyone else.

Pros

Some level of job security. You know exactly what you're doing because it's a call center. Different client projects that you could apply to be part of. Located in Orem by the mall. Decent pay ($25 an hour... for now).

Cons

You can't have anything on the call floor depending on the client (I support Intuit, so there are no phones, paper, pencils, books... nothing). The benefits are atrocious. PTO doesn't start until after 6 months. Company politics and favorites exist here. I'd say about 30% of calls get transferred to us from other departments (Payroll, Payments, Desktop, Saves, Sales, pretty much everyone) that should not have been transferred and could have been solved without us. They're going to hire more account resolution specialists soon after so many agents left, and they're starting their pay at $20 an hour.... so just think about what means for us. You get one occurrence per day you are absent even if you call in sick. I think 10 is the limit.
