Pros

Great co-workers to work with. Interesting projects if you're technically inclined.

Cons

Very limited opportunities for advancement as this is a small business. Pay salary is a little below industry standards, yearly raises are minimal. High turn-over in the sales manager position, meaning you'll have to adapt to different people and styles of management.

Pros

Fotofab, provided me with a great opportunity to become part of the team. The company offers competitive benefits, annual merit increases, is a friendly work environment, and they provided support and training.

Cons

More flexibility with lunch schedules and additional more shift options.

Pros

I was part of the department that had the most efficient supervisor. I am so grateful for Kesia, because without her, I wouldn’t have learned as much as I did. She was thorough and incredibly proactive. She taught me valuable skills I will use for the rest of my career.

Cons

I have definitely learned a lot from working at Fotofab. First, I learned how important it is to research a company before working for them. Second, I learned to stop avoiding red flags from a company (i.e., no efficient leaders, no defining culture, “we are a family here”) Lastly, I believe it's important for employees to feel valued. I have seen this to increase productivity and creates a positive environment, which is the opposite of what I experienced at Fotofab. I realized my worth at this company, and that’s why I left. Fotofab having a high retention rate is very telling. If you want to keep your sanity, I would second think working at Fotofab. Now, here are the rest of the cons... -PTO for new hires is awful. You get 8 days (ALL of these days count for your personal and sick days) for your first year and it doesn’t get much better unless you’ve been working there for at least 10 years. -The average salary for an administrative coordinator in Chicago is 33k-59k and I was on the (WAY) bottom end of that average. -CEO was not friendly. Didn’t talk/have a conversation with me until months after I’ve worked there. This did not create a welcoming environment. -No culture. The only mission statement they have is for their customers. There is no mission statement for the employees. -Dental insurance doesn’t cover a lot -Parking is awful. Had to park my car on the street most days. -People of longer tenures have a lack of respect for not only their cohorts, but their boss as well. There was also almost no repercussions for their actions, which occurred time and time again in the year and a half I spent there. - No real HR, so even when I did have a problem with leadership, I could not comfortably go to a Human Resources department to express my concerns.
