Pros

Interesting products and technology for a cutting-edge industry. Incredibly smart, helpful coworkers and great managers.

Cons

I joined Forward Thinking Systems with high hopes, but my experience has been nothing short of disappointing due to a terminal case of Founder's Syndrome. The CEO represents the company's greatest asset and biggest obstacle to success, being completely unable to let the people he hires actually do their jobs. Constant interference in day-to-day operations and refusal to accept data-driven decisions and strategies over his perception or instincts has created a toxic work environment. Yet another promising company led astray by a CEO unwilling to let go of control. The toxic culture and lack of progress make it an unbearable place to work. I would caution anyone considering employment to steer clear; your career and mental health will thank you.

Cons

This isn't a con but Forward Thinking is not for those who are looking to coast on by.

Pros

Great co-workers. Incredibly smart and motivated people working here, always willing to help others. Completely remote work environment. Interesting technology and industry.

Cons

The company completely lacks leadership or a cohesive vision for the future. The CEO is so far in the weeds he's an obstruction to any progress on projects. He seems to have some idea of what he wants, but is completely incapable of expressing that vision or providing adequate direction to the rest of the company. This is compounded by an inability to let the people he hires own and run their departments. The recent firings of two senior managers has left the company in chaos, stalled progress on most projects, and dropped moral to an all-time low. Company culture doesn't exist, and is actively repressed, values end at profit, and DEI is entirely ignored.
