My time at Fortrend Securities was extremely challenging. The workplace environment was highly stressful, unpredictable, and emotionally draining. Leadership routinely displayed behaviour that felt volatile and unprofessional, and staff were frequently spoken to in a manner that created a culture of fear rather than support. There was a consistent pattern of confrontational communication, including raised voices and aggressive reactions to routine work matters. Emotional distress among staff was common. Client interactions were handled unprofessionally, with senior leadership often interrupting or inserting themselves into meetings in ways that undermined staff and made it difficult to maintain professional standards. Female employees appeared to receive unequal treatment and were spoken to in ways that were inappropriate and dismissive. Senior leadership would regularly corner junior staff and show/discuss very inappropriate content. Public negative press about the business reflects concerns about the organisation but does not capture the full extent of the cultural issues that staff experience internally.
