Pros
The mission is unique and the projects have a meaningful impact on the region. The program staff believe in the work and love it...for as long as the organization can keep them. Pay is decent but lower than comparable jobs in other sectors. But don't believe the glowing reviews, these are written by shills to pad the ratings like people who get their friends to stay at their airbnb.
Cons
Profound lack of trust in leadership, steady stream of departures by experienced and senior staff, poor continuity due to turnover, the recent round of layoffs show the continuing effects of the 2022 controversy (see Seattle Times articles for accurate coverage). Will the organization survive another year? The board is seemingly unaware of the toxic culture that the president has not only tolerated but contributed to which drives so many quality people away. If you are considering working here, talk to the people who left to understand why they didn't last so you can make an informed decision.
