Pros
I worked directly with the two leasing managers in Houston and assisted with all facets of leasing, from marketing to tours, leasing meetings, and so many other things. The internship also hosted a Fort101 real estate course that would meet remotely each week with all of the different sectors of the company and learn about how they operate and who they are as people. It was a unique part of the internship that I enjoyed. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking to get into real estate, especially brokerage/leasing.
The Houston office has a great work culture and has great people working there so I enjoyed going into the office every day.
Cons
This is not a con since Fort Capital is a Forth Worth-based company, but I was the only intern in the Houston office, so sometimes I would be on my own. However, Fort Capital is a rapidly growing company so I anticipate they will bring more people to the Houston office in the future.
