Pros
Great company culture (close-knit, frequently get lunch together, have free lunch with beers on Fridays). Wonderful access to equipment, and very hands-on (CNC mill, CNC lathe, Lasercutter, Optical Equipment). Fun, engaging work and challenging problems to solve. Opportunities for significant design ownership. Stable company, which invests well in Research and Development and still functions like a start-up.
Cons
50-hour mandatory work weeks became a deal breaker. It since looks like they've decreased this standard to 45, which would change things. 401(k) match takes 5 years to vest, and with a mandatory 50-hour workweek, it wasn't realistic to fully vest the match (which was also only 3%).
