Pros

Tight team composed of mostly technical people (consultants) in Salesforce space, so if you're not technical, you'll learn fast. I learned a lot on the job (lead generation, telemarketing, mass email), which i probably won't learn if i worked at a big company initially. The best thing about this job is my manager. He was very hands-on, which enabled me to be self-sufficient in the job very quickly. Colleagues are friendly and helpful, so I got along with everybody well.

Cons

Some days can be long and overwhelming esp. when there are issues with projects. When I got hired, there was growing demand, so they hired too many (wrong) people quickly, which caused some internal conflicts. Working in a small team means you have to pull your own weight. No room for slacking off, since everyone will notice. Some people are not pulling their weight, which demoralized a lot of people.

Pros

Personally I prefer working for small business over big business. I've learned a lot, since I'm exposed to so many different type of projects and business needs. Easy going fun group too.

Cons

Can't think of any at the moment...

Pros

Actual Salesforce Series-B company Friendly environment for dog lovers and Prop 215 card carriers Well-intentioned service organization wants to please customers and tends to when management allows.

Cons

Disorganized, dishonest management that turns Salesforce implementations into a Salesfarce Well-meaning staff thrown under the bus when sales overstates their capabilities and then leaves them to twist in the wind. Management makes arbitrary decisions that do not follow best practices for Salesforce, services or business administration. Management verbally abuses staff in front of other employees, brings their animals to work to defecate in customer-facing areas, does not supply necessary computers or tools necessary for best practices and cuts corners wherever possible. As a result, they're putting out fires all day long - it leaves them very little time for actual quality work. It is rumored, but not known, that many of their projects were poorly planned or scoped to begin with leading to projects that are over budget and behind timelines. Rather than accepting responsibility for this, the C-Level Exec team shifted blame to services for being unable to spin straw into gold.
