Pros

Good people, even if some of them are checked out

Cons

Ugh. Where to begin. The biggest problem is the weak leadership almost across the board. Almost everyone at the VP level is a pushover, fairly novice and/or are ultimately out for themselves. Most people encounter a dozen road blocks to their work because leadership is too incompetent to remove them, is unwilling to enable you, or doesn't see how it could fit into their scheme for advancing themselves. Most of the departments are poorly structured, even for a startup. For a small company, the groups are very siloed and unwilling to really coordinate on the most basic of things. Every initiative is poorly executed from start to finish, has a ton of bloat, and often has someone like the CEO or a VP join in on a meeting and wreck the progress of the initiative with their uninformed opinion on the matter.
