Pros

There's free food sometimes that's pretty much it

Cons

First off I'm not even sure how this place is legally still running. People intentionally change results so they won't have to do a reset. Theres an SOP for everything but nobody follows them and the links on the website that go to the SOP don't even work half the time. Its a known issue but the company can't be bothered to fix it. Management has no idea whats going on. Theres little to no communication which is why things are almost always not out on time. They encourage you to initial in spots for things you haven't done and if you don't do it, someone will intial your name for you which sounds pretty illegal. If you gave an issue you'll get stuck in an endless loop with your supervisors because they'll tell you to ask someone else who will in turn tell you to ask a different person and so on. If your schedule changes they won't even communicate it to you. You won't get an email or a call youll just see it on a piece of paper on the wall somewhere. We had a supervisor that would literally sleep at work for 2-3 hours and when we brought it up to management nothing would happen. The trash outside just rolls down the parking lot and there wasn't any effort to try to resolve that. When a sample was accidentally thrown away with all the rotting food they would ask you to go retrieve it as if it would still be good to test sitting in garbage and blood. We would constantly be reminded of how much money we were making the company but there was never any sign of improving our job. They will say college degree preffered but you get paid like you're pushing carts at Walmart. Unless you're the manager that sleeps in their office at night. If you're them you get paid significantly more while knowing significantly less. The place is open for all the major holidays and there is no holiday pay for working them. If you work a holiday you get an extra day off later ( you don't pick the day ). All your time off is just grouped as PTO, theres no individual sick days or vacation days. Positives were just re ran until they were negative. The whole place is just really shady. Theres a reason why this company has so many bad reviews. Is it possible 200+ people are just " not fit" for FSNS like the HR replies say or are they just a bad place, you decide. I cant tell if the company just didn't have the money to run well or if someone at the top was just really greedy. Either way once you leave you'll realize how much of a joke this place is.

Food Safety Net Services Response

My apologies on the timeliness of my response. It is disheartening to hear your comments- many of which you and I know are fabrications or are dramatizations, but at the same time for whatever reason they may be your perception. Specific here is our testing protocols and SOPS, how we handle waste, etc. These statements are wrong. We work hard to create a great culture for ALL employees – all backgrounds and all education levels. In regard to your “college degree preffered,” that is really dependent on the position and the skills a person brings with them to the job. We are constantly analyzing our total rewards package, time off, holidays, etc. I would enjoy a phone call to discuss the manager who is allegedly asleep in the office. Indeed, I am aware that Walmart is doing a lot of hiring right now and if that is your new employer of choice, I wish you the very best. Let me also remind you to consult the Glassdoor rules when you have a moment. I look forward to a phone conversation. Thanks. Bob Cox, SVP, HR

Pros

Some growth opportunities available depending on location / current lab needs.

Cons

Since it’s part of certified group, upper management does not understand the individual needs of each lab enough to effectively run things. Mandatory overtime at most locations. Not a lot of explanation of how to do certain things or why they are done. Poor wages and terrible health insurance.
