Pros
For the first time im my whole career, both in Berlin and abroad, I have found a place where I gladly arrive in the morning, as if I would be meeting friends for a coffee.
1. I never feel obligated (forced or pushed) to do anything, and this is for me the biggest motivation to work hard and stay inspired. I mean, I feel way more efficient when being able to set priorities together with my colleagues in a friendly atmosphere and not simply "do what the boss told".
2. I also have a chance to combine multiple responsibilities and learn new technologies, which is for me a reason to come to the office in the morning.
3. Here each one is his/her own boss. So for someone in a junior position, maybe it's not the best place to learn from someone. But for people with high level of self-motivation and a vision for goals, it's simply perfect. Here you have to rely on yourself.
4. The company is very family-friendly and offers a flexible schedule.
5. Benefits like fruits, nuts etc. I hope there's no need to tell much . Just normal startup-setup here.
6. I will not say about other departments (maybe it's different from how it looks), but in mine people are insanely positive.
Cons
Well, for me personally the "contras" is something I find beneficial: no clear goals and finely-planned strategy from management lets us all be self-managed and do more than indicated by the job description.
What could be improved:
1. Hardware could be better.
2. Out-of-the-office professional activities, such as conferences, are not much supported. It's even hard to get a day-off, not to mention the company will not pay them.
