Pros
Since management makes all these post, which is not the case, this has been the talk of the office as everyone who has posted prior was notified of the negative post that claimed to be a current employee. As a result, I figured I would make a post after being here for a year and share my experience. Yes, the company does encourage all employees to post, but does not make it mandatory and they have ZERO input on what we post. When I was hired, I took on an account executive position. I was provided training over a 3 week period, with intensive training on 3 consecutive Saturdays. We are then provided with numerous online learning tools, plus we are allowed to purchase any learning material, attend seminars and take additional training anytime at the company’s expense. What I will say is if you are no motivated to learn and expect it to be forced down your throat, then that will not occur here and you will be disappointed. FocusMX has been great to work for. It is intense, because the owners do not care about hot air. They are extremely strict at making sure the product that leaves the door is not only what the client asked for, rather it is what they need and what they asked for. This standard is not an option, so I have seen people leave because of this. I felt the pressure at first also, because they don’t just talk about striving for perfection, they truly try to achieve it. When I joined the team, I had a lot to learn. The partners worked with me, even at times when I felt I was not a fit. When I was stressed, I had two partners giving me any time needed to help. At no time did anyone ever ignore my stress levels and frustrations. Rather they listened and helped me resolve the challenges. The work here is fun. You truly help companies grow. Many times I have seen companies double in size in just the one year I have been here. The owners have extremely successful mindsets. I get excited being in strategy meetings and seeing companies solve challenges and then get to watch them implemented and drive the expected result. Definitely a fun job and I am excited about the potential!
Cons
Don’t like going to the Philadelphia office due to distance.
