Pros

They have a high starting pay and will promise you the moon to get you to leave companies and join them.

Cons

If they promise training, they are most likely lying. I was lured away from a company I was happy with based on a 30% pay raise and the promise of training for the BIM Coordination position. They job was put on hold4 months in and after 4 more months, they put me on "Leave Of Absence" whish is a non paid leave. They want you to hang around a few months in case they get work and can call you back in. They have a whole plan in place where they ambush you with the details the day they are putting you on leave. They have no concern for you as a person or for helping you to advance in your career. I should have done more research as there are 54 other reviews on here of people bringing up the constant lay offs.

Pros

Good for starting and ending a career in engineering — solid training and plenty of software available. Good benefits and WLB.

Cons

Most projects are PreFEED, so lots of generic work, and they tend to overhire for these projects. It’s hard to make it to the middle ranks here because of the overhiring and layoff on contract loss cycle. The 980 schedule is actually meant to be a 10-hr day, as they began to emphasize the importance of taking lunch. TOWP and sick days are lumped together and earned on an accrued basis, so vacation days are valuable in the beginning. You can be paid your vacation days at the end, too, when your salary is higher… the consequence is that people come in sick all the time.
