Pros
Being a large corporation there are many potential areas in which to grow. Vendors also seem willing to give more deference than offered to smaller businesses. Some very talented people among their ranks. New programs have emerged providing access to them and their experience base holding promise of good things to come.
Cons
Change is slow as with any massive entity. Raises are pitiful across the board; the only way to get an increase above inflation is to move up - creating an environment where managers are often less qualified than desirable.
