Pros

You get to play with flowers...

Cons

They don't pay their employees or managers what they're worth. They have one of the worst turnover rates. They do not have benifits. They are cheap when it comes to fixing anything. They don't give buying privileges to their managers. So it's like pulling teeth to get anything for your store. Half the time you worry about filling orders because you don't have vases. You live in constant fear of your job that the district manager is going to scream at you, for not making enough money for the shop. They don't pay you hourly wages for dleiveys that you have to have your own vehicle for, only a percent of the delivery fees. So you could be spending your entire day doing deliveries and only make $5. They don't pay your over time says it's "unauthorized". They have such a bad rap that it's almost impossible to get people to come to work there. They won't pay for civilians to get passes to work on base. They make manager sign a 20-page non-compete form saying you cannot work within five miles of a affes store or flower shop for 3+ years after leaving the company.

Cons

Experienced floral designers are paid the same as new employees; long hours on major floral holidays; tight operating budgets leave little room for expansion or updating of supplies/equipment.
