      Pros

      Great opportunity for post doc work. A handful of people spread across multiple departments have great care for their work.

      Cons

      A lot of reinforcement of the status quo. Not as leading edge as a university should be - and if you try to do things different you will meet a lot of resistance. Also - very poor management training and as such - very poor management.

      Cons

      Pay can be low for the amount of work involved, tasks can sometimes be repetitive, and workload may vary significantly depending on the research project and professor.
