I felt that there was an issue with cultural differences and communication while I was there. Also, there was absolutely ZERO interdepartmental communication. If you are in the X department, you will never talk to the Y or Z department, and that's not great for collaboration and innovation. But hopefully it's changed by now.
Also, while there, it was really disheartening to hear some people within the company make homophobic/transphobic comments, which made me wonder why they chose to work there since the CEO and company itself are trying to be more LGBTQ+ inclusive. (Also, it was unclear what to do in these situations. If it was an HR issue?? Or if I should just politely tell them I disagree and that our product was for everyone and was supposed to be inclusive.)
