Pros

The tasks I was doing were interesting

Cons

Management is clueless. Consistently hires and lays off to compensate for their own poor judgement in which products to bring to market. Never trusted what management told us and wondered what they weren't telling us. Many good people did a good job, were liked and respected but still laid off. Cheapest company ever, tries to run things on a shoe string so you will never have the proper tools. I bought little things like drill bits out of my own pocket without reimbursement.

Pros

Great stress free, laid back company. Work is somewhat repetitive but can be fun thought provoking (10% of the time)

Cons

Pay is not competitive with similar local positions. Lack thereof training & adequate documentation, associates held unaccountable for negative trends. No data analysis happening on the line.

Pros

The people were very friendly and compensation was alright. Management is concerned about making a full line of products to offer their customers.

Cons

Management didn't do a great job of finances and desperately hopped on board the Continuous Improvement movement too late and for the wrong reasons. I think there's a lot of potential at Flight and perhaps now they're figuring out how to run a business that sells into the aftermarket. Working there looks like working in a sweatshop from 150 years ago. A little effort towards aesthetics goes a long way. I didn't feel like I was given the opportunity to help them as much as I wanted to. I felt I was not allowed to exercise talents that I had beyond engineering (e.g., supply chain, quality, etc.) I also felt like the engineers WERE given the burdensome task of doing market research without some of the proper tools.
