Pros

DeForest is one of the busiest, most successful stores in the company Lots of respect and leniency for mistakes; NOT a toxic culture Generous commissions only for processing credit card applications (it was $5 once but now $10 per application!) You even get paid if it does not automatically approve. Rewards going the extra mile here and recognizes exemplary performance Employee of the month program with $50 gift card and parking space (you can get it just by not questioning orders and doing what managers need you to do) Employee discount is 20%, works on 95% of the store, and can be shared with your parents, significant other, or children. A family with a son for an employee who mastered the registers can teach his family to save insane amounts of money. Deals can be made for a family like this--real ones. Actually appreciates their employees here unlike my previous jobs

Cons

$15 per hour Annual raises are 23 cents per hour Difficult to get medical or school leave, corporate will generally not give medical leave if they are not legally required I cannot guarantee other Fleet Farms are as nice as DeForest

Pros

Management was very nice. Fun environment to work in. Great scheduling.

Cons

Not very many cons at all. Maybe that some days we were short of staff in the back and had overloads of work to do and not enough time.

Pros

20 percent discount on equipment if you fish or hunt

Cons

Management is not available when needed. You get zero training and are expected to know how to do your job from minute one Management gets frustrated and angry easily. If you don’t have land or a tractor you know how to fix or have a secondary income this job is not for you Terrible pay Terrible scheduling Can’t keep any full time employees Management has personal kingdom syndrome and will talk your ear off about how much cooler they are than you
