Pros

This is a family-owned, custom security company that values the customer as well as the employees that work with our customers everyday. In the many years I have been here, Fleenor has developed many policies that help in our daily focus on customer loyalty, employee welfare as well as individual growth. I have been in this industry since 1994. I have done all facets of the business including operations, sales and management. In the last 10 years I have experienced a well run organization with a structure that allows for employees to provide feedback for any ideas of improvement. There is now and always has been a feeling of family - from Christmas parties, picnics to team building activities - Fleenor Security has been a great place to work. I will finish my career with Fleenor Security for the next 13-15 years!

Cons

I have a simple rule. As long as I never have to deal with more than a CONSISTENT 5% of my work life dealing with BS or "crazy" I have no reason to leave.

Pros

Fleenor is a company committed to the happiness and satisfaction of both their employees and customers. Employees are treated fairly, and the company culture is unmatched. You get the "family" atmosphere, without the toxicity that sometimes exists. Executives and management are caring and down to earth. They take the time to get to know all the employees and make a point to get opinions across the board (down the ladder) on most decisions, making everyone feel seen and heard. I truly felt my opinion was frequently valued and considered by the Vice President and my managers. Compensation is more than fair (especially for a smaller company), and there are bonuses, awards and multiple company parties. They take the time (and money) to make sure employees feel appreciated throughout the year. There are opportunities for advancement, if you make it known that you are wanting to move up. Management will invest in you and give you opportunities to learn and gain experience to help you get there. Overall I highly recommend Fleenor. I only left voluntarily because I was given the chance to pursue my degree for free. I would certainly return to Fleenor in the future, if given the chance.

Cons

Due to an industry-wide shortage of qualified technicians, it was often difficult to get service and installs scheduled within a reasonable amount of time (at least at the Knoxville branch). This meant service coordinators and technicians (serving as the face of the company) were sometimes left to mediate and console unhappy customers. However, this is an industry-wide problem I have experienced at other companies, not just at Fleenor, and is an aspect of the job you should be aware of going in.

Pros

The only pro in my experience was getting a paycheck.

Cons

Company fronts as a “Good Christian Company” so that should have been my first red flag. Second would have been a first and second interview and job offer all in one day. I was treated like I had no experience and repeatedly told how hard the job was (it was super simple). I thought I was being hired into the accounting department, but was hired as a backup to the receptionist. I was over qualified for this job. I was also repeatedly lied to about the flexibility the company provided. My children’s schedule WAS an issue even though I was reassured numerous times before accepting the position it was not an issue. Management is a joke. I was doubted several times and given attitude for not asking questions. Worst job I have ever had. Incredibly toxic environment. Don’t believe a word they say. It is all lies.
