Pros

Some interesting projects in important market sectors, fiscally conservative, some good and talented folks on staff, work is shared among locations

Cons

Poor management structure and decision making: All decisions are top-down management style even for what most of us would consider minor, resulting in folks either going rogue or not willing to take any responsibility. Since upper management cannot know everything intimately then this leads to poor choices. Employees: Politics can only explain why some people are overworked while others do nothing all day. Diversity is poor even for the architectural field. Too many are short on technical skills and planning concepts. Outlook: On the surface it may appear that they are into current trends, but these are just for show and in reality they are still stuck in the distant past, since many folks do only what is comfortable for them.

Pros

The company overall has a diverse portfolio for projects, good benefits and PTO. Other employees are friendly and events break the ice occasionally. Use the most out of the ARE resources available (they can be better however).

Cons

unfortunately if you’re just starting out you’lL be cornered in a single project and you don’t get the exposure you wish you can have at a firm of their size. Layoffs are unpredictable, in 2025 all the newer employees were laid off with no proper warning, seems that they just needed to get some work done and everyone laid off had no time to plan their next step. Afraid they would do the same for upcoming openings so beware and maybe request that appropriate time is given in advance if a layoff is to happen/ maybe two weeks written in your contract. Also diversity is very very very low.
