Pros
I can't think of a single reason why I'd recommend working at Five Guys. The idea of the company in theory sounds fantastic, which is why I took the job to begin with - mystery shopper bonuses, bla bla. Nothing outweighs how terrible the job is.
Cons
The managers are completely incompetent, due to the quick promotion of staff - people are backstabbing each other left, right and centre. It's a horrible environment to work in. On the surface they make out it's a really team orientated business - 'giving back to the crew' but, I know for a fact upper management are constantly putting pressure on managers to cut staff hours and streamline costs to meet massive targets (which in turn gives them bonuses). There are definitely some great managers within the company, but they leave inevitably after getting sick of being treated so badly. You could easily find a job that is payed equally and work 5 times less hard. I used to have a job as a scaffolder, which payed £15 an hour and was easier work than this.
