Pros

As an employee at Fit:match, I have been consistently impressed by the company's innovative spirit, supportive culture, and commitment to employee development. From day one, it was clear that Fit:match thrives on creativity and innovation. The team is made up of talented individuals who are passionate about technology and driven to push boundaries. Being part of an environment where new ideas are encouraged and explored has not only enhanced my skills but has also allowed me to contribute meaningfully to exciting projects. The collaborative spirit here is one of the standout aspects of Fit:match I’ve had the opportunity to work alongside incredibly talented colleagues who are always willing to share knowledge and support each other. The open communication style fostered by leadership makes it easy to share ideas and feedback, ensuring everyone feels heard and valued. It’s refreshing to be part of a team where collaboration is not just encouraged but is a core value. Fit:match places a strong emphasis on employee development. The leadership truly believes in investing in its team members, offering various training programs, workshops, and opportunities for growth. I’ve had access to resources that have significantly enhanced my skills and have been supported in pursuing my career goals. It’s inspiring to work for a company that genuinely cares about the personal and professional growth of its employees.

Cons

This is not a reflection on Fit:match as a company, but on startups in general, Working for a startup is incredibly rewarding experience, but it also comes with its share of challenges. The fast-paced nature of startups usually requires employees to wear multiple hats and take on more responsibilities than they might in a larger, more established company. Working for a startup offers unique opportunities for growth, creativity, and innovation. It essential to weigh these against the desired work environment and career goals to determine if it’s the right fit for you.

Pros

Working at Fit:match is an exhilarating experience for anyone passionate about tech innovation. The company fosters a dynamic and agile startup environment where new ideas are required, and rapid iteration is part of the culture. We’re constantly working on R&D technology, which keeps things challenging. The diverse leadership is forward-thinking, allowing for plenty of opportunities to take ownership of impactful projects. The fast-paced nature and lean approach to development creates an ideal space for problem-solvers who thrive on continuous improvement. If you're looking to have a voice and make a change in tech, this is the place to be.

Cons

The fast-paced, agile environment at Fit:match brings a lot of excitement and opportunities for growth, but it’s not for everyone. Some people thrive in this atmosphere, energized by the constant innovation and potential, while others may find it overwhelming and risk burnout. It’s important to know if you're someone who can thrive with a great attitude under these conditions because startups are for business athletes – those who are ready to hustle, adapt quickly, and embrace change. If you’re motivated by challenges and rapid progress, this environment will be exhilarating, but if you prefer more structure and a slower pace, it might not be the best fit.

Pros

This company had promise with its tech, and the real brains - the woman who created their algorithm - is very smart. At one point it seemed like they would solve a pain point in the consumer shopping market. All remote work was nice!

Cons

Where to begin...the CEO, Haniff, is unfortunately not very good at being a CEO. He pivots strategy and product focus constantly and can't follow through with an idea. He will be pitched good ideas but then does not trust his team to execute them. He micromanages in such a way that he has to approve even $100 expenses instead of relying on the heads of his departments to manage their budgets. This slows things down a lot. They dangle all sorts of jobs and promises at you to keep you but then burn through your work and loyalty only to fail to uphold anything they said. It is very very chaotic! Even their HR will admit they don't do things by the book or how they should be done. They pay late if you are a freelancer. Every time! I saw how they treated so many people while I was there and couldn't believe it! Like discarded trash after they got what they needed from them. Haniff is also VERY cheap unless you are an engineer. He thinks everyone else should be paid like they just got out of college even if you have years and years of experience. Truly, I regret giving them so much of my expertise, time and effort, thinking I was helping build something great. They will never be very successful as long as Haniff runs this place. Also, the head of my department was clearly scared of him. They all talk so much crap about him and how they disagree with how unreasonable he is, but they don't push back and their entire teams have to suffer for his ignorance on how things run.
