Pros
Free coffee & Electric charging – The coffee here is free and is charging your electric car. Location - They are based in Park Royal very easy to get to via car. Salary – They offer competitive salary when they hire you but expect no pay-rise, bonus or career progression after that.
Cons
Office environment – Is generally stressful and feeling there is a feeling of colleagues over-worked being burnt out when speaking to them which explains long queue at coffee machine. Long working hours – Although they mention 8 to 5pm on offer letter but most people end-up starting early and finishing way past 6. Management/directors are aware but refuse to act. Changes to role – You’ll not only deal with frequent changes to your work location and line mgt but also significant changes to your role as well, every 6 months. As the company is short-staffed they usually ‘throw’ resource at a problem where there is shortfall that month. Hence, you may end up doing roles you didn’t sign-up for. Revolving door – If you’re not happy with above you’re welcome to leave. Don’t expect any sympathy, counter-offer or attempts to make you stay from your line managers. When I left after nearly 2 years of working there I was one of the longest person working there, Pay Review & Bonus – Although my offer letter specifically mentioned 10% discretionary bonus. I didn’t receive a penny in 2 years that I worked there (no explanation, review or appraisal). I didn’t receive any pay review as well. There is no formal process of annual appraisal. Work-life balance – As the company suffers from short-staff you’ll not be provided any holiday cover. You’ll have to ensure you deal with all email and requests you missed when you’re away. You’ll also have to make yourself available to your line manager in-case they need anything urgent. The owner is a hot-head and generally shouts down at people. If he/management don't like you they will 'manage you' out of your job by creating stress environment for you to work in.
