Pros
This company has unique problems to solve, such as how to manage the 10+ payment gateways they own because they buy up competition instead of driving innovation. Upon acquisition the melding of the smaller companies until the giant takes time, so once you are acquired you have time until the true suck of this place sinks in.
Cons
Grind house culture, management has done a good job of normalizing long hours and unreasonable project time tables. Company is constantly pushing distinct groups together to collaborate on projects (a side effect of their purchasing smaller competitors and needing to place their new staff in existing projects), rarely do those groups share the same management hierarchy so when disagreements happen there is no clear direction. Having a kid? Expect to have a rep call you hours after your baby is born to answer their silly questions as part of the process to approve your paternity/maternity leave. Ridiculous internal red tape. Want to get access to anything? Well fill out these forms in this poorly designed internal website with information that you’ll have to ask your manager how to fill out, and good luck if you get a field wrong that’s another 3 day turnaround once they tell you how to fix it. Generally crappy place to work, is bad for your mental and physical health.
