Pros

Great company to work for in the area.

Cons

It's obvious from reading some of the recent reviews some in the company are very passive aggressive. I have worked for FirstCare for 6 years in another Dept. Outside of Customer Service and I work closely with the Director, because of her departments have been brought together. I have never heard her speak negatively in front management about other management as I am a current member of management. The new director came in and created a positive work environment, she has put rewards into place, structure and a sense of appreciation for the work completed day to day. As a result of the changes those that weren't meeting the goals or guidelines are probably being held to a level or a standard they don't agree with today, and those individuals maybe angry and come here to add non-favorable reviews. :-( These reviews are conversations that should be had with management as their doors are always open. I love working for FirstCare and I hope anyone looking to work for a great company with great management seeks FirstCare as their employer of choice.

Pros

The majority of the employees are great people.

Cons

They cannot figure out how to retain employees. They have a high loss of employees, most of them are very knowledgeable individuals, but upper management causes people to leave. They do not know how to treat people. If you are good to the employees and compensate them fairly, they will stay, but the HR of this company does not have a clue. They claim to base salaries off of the market, but that is not true or the software they use is a joke. If they did their own research in the region, they would see that they pay much less than what the market average is. I believe they are aware of this though. Upper management is a major issue with the company. The culture here is not thriving and many are just waiting for the first opportunity to get out. To be fair, some managers are great to their employees, others are not and have no business managing people...too many of their type at this company.
