Very independent 911 response paramedic positions. You shoulder all medical responsibility on every call as you are the only paramedic (No ALS fire departments in this county) at all scenes. The fire departments are truly wonderful and work very well as a team here as well. The equipment is near top notch as well as is the field supervisor staff.

The management is fairly good with the exception of a vindictive and very unprofessional human resources "Chief" who oversees the department. The employees are constantly having to argue over simple policy with her just to save their jobs at times. There is also a very high burn out rate here as the responsibility is much too high for the current pay rate. Unfortunately this is partially the
