Pros

For entry level individuals, this can provide some work experience. Opportunity to gain exposure and try your hand at alot of activities which you would not be able to do at other, better managed and staffed companies. Company has some good technology but its rapidly becoming dated.

Cons

Micromanagement from the top; incompetent people promoted/hired into positions; communication between organizations and individuals explicitly not allowed; understaffing; +90 day late payments to vendors. Dfficulty brining new products to market as focus is more on OEMs and "specials" for specific customers.

Pros

You may get a paycheck until management decides to withhold paying you..

Cons

Firetide is owned by Unicom Global, which is a shell corporation that has bought up many distressed brands over the years (Old IBM legacy software for AS400's, US Robotics, etc.) and uses the revenue stream off these products to fund the owners private real-estate ventures. They reinvest $0 in new products and resources to increase sales and revenue. They hire and maintain those employees who are lazy and passive (think Sheep) that are happy with the status quo so getting anything new done is nearly impossible. The product lines have absolutely no relationship to each other so there is synergies between business units.
