Pros

pay is at top of industry standard for area. lots of overtime available. - union

Cons

- power systems division is sidelined by equipment division - tooling and trucks can be hard to get when working on power systems division - training is slow to get especially for new employees - union - company has no soul as it is shareholder owned and it is starting to show through, even at the smaller branches. this has always been a problem in the cities but the attitude is creeping in locally. - management turnover is incredibly high and fast. this leads to most ideas and plans being left incomplete before a new set of ideas and plans come

Pros

Good and hard working employees for the most part, standard industry benefits and great business model for growth

Cons

Many changes within BP&S team in the past few months without leadership or strategic approach; Hiring and keeping expensive contractors instead of keeping knowledgable employees. The CIO acts as a bully and there is no oversight on his costly decisions and the chaos he has created. He was given the ultimate authority by the past leadership team and since they have left Finning, the new leadership team has not assessed CIO’s negative impact and outcomes so far. Moral is low and BP&S employees seem lost while the new CIO brings in more of his people on high paid roles and contracts.
