Pros

Pay and benefits are reasonable. Remote work.

Cons

Culture- most of the values are just "marketing strategies". Managers do not walk the talk. They said they care about employees, but they actyally just want to achieve the bottom line. Workload increase, higher expectation, less employees , many free riders. Structure- organization structure is not efficient and internal departments spending lots of time protecting their financials rather than creating real values. Slogan like One Finning does not change the fact that they have to answer to their financials. Lack of action plans - when issues or concerns are brought up, there will be acknowledgment rather than corrective actions. Change that could help employees took years and structure change that impact employees take only a few months. System - different outdated systems and not user friendly. Implementation or improvement team is not experienced. Managers just want to meet timeliness and get the bonus without priotizing user experience. Management- most managers care about their bosses and want to climb the corporate ladder, not really care about their employees.

Pros

Good and hard working employees for the most part, standard industry benefits and great business model for growth

Cons

Many changes within BP&S team in the past few months without leadership or strategic approach; Hiring and keeping expensive contractors instead of keeping knowledgable employees. The CIO acts as a bully and there is no oversight on his costly decisions and the chaos he has created. He was given the ultimate authority by the past leadership team and since they have left Finning, the new leadership team has not assessed CIO’s negative impact and outcomes so far. Moral is low and BP&S employees seem lost while the new CIO brings in more of his people on high paid roles and contracts.
