WiFi in office can be spotty and isn’t always great when video conferencing

The office is in a central location, close to False Creek. It's pretty easy to get to. Most colleagues were amazing, highly intelligent professionals. If you're a white guy, and you know how to properly stroke the right egos, you can be somebody's manager in no time.

Working there felt like working on a production line with no room for innovation or creativity. Decisions are made behind closed doors and assignments are handed out with minimal communication. Work assignments and promotions are based on favouritism. It's very cliquish - if you don't fit in, socially, you won't get very far. Almost all seniors, leads, and managers are white, and men. More experienced and better-qualified team members get passed over in favour of white friends of upper management. Inflated egos of insecure managers and colleagues give way to very rude, back-biting behaviour. At any time and without notice, anyone could be required to work late into the night on a Friday, through the weekend, or even fly half-way around the world to fix a problem for a client that could easily have been avoided. The pay is terrible.
