Pros

Majority of the people are great. Most managers were solid and good at protecting their teams. Great place to learn how to not operate a company. Money wasn’t bad.

Cons

If you value your career, don’t work here. Environment is dishonest. Perks are silly and immature. Leadership constantly berates senior leaders publicly and doesn’t provide adequate tools or clear direction. Company is built on the messaging to consumers that AI aids in clothing design process and reduces waste. All false. The process doesn’t use AI for this at all, it’s mostly leadership choosing what to create though they don’t have fashion experience or training so they makes a mess of things and wastes a lot of time correcting it. Leadership wasn’t allowed to re-enter the US so they fired the LA team and moved the operations oversees. Blamed it on tariffs. Despicable to see American venture capital money being sent oversees. Tends to hire ‘yes’ people with little experience and tends to avoid hiring qualified and experienced people so no one pushes back. Few folks who are chummy with the leadership, LGBT, or pleasers tend to be promoted. Initiatives start with a typical star-up energy like “move fast and disrupt” only to learn that the industry standard is superior. HR is inexperienced with silly and naive outlooks on work culture. Office was gross and filthy. Flies, trash, and bad smells everywhere.

Pros

• Dynamic and innovative environment where you get exposure to multiple functions beyond your own role. • Leadership is supportive and open to new ideas, which gives room for creativity and ownership. • Cross-functional collaboration is strong, and you get to work with talented colleagues who genuinely care about results. • High level of responsibility early on — you’re trusted to lead projects and make an impact. • Great place for someone who thrives in fast-moving startup culture.

Cons

• Pace can be intense at times, which may feel overwhelming if you’re not used to constant context-switching. • Processes are still evolving, so you need to be comfortable with ambiguity. • Resources can be limited compared to larger companies, which requires scrappiness and prioritization.

Pros

A few colleagues that made this time bearable.

Cons

Deeply disappointing & traumatizing experience. The company made several promises during the hiring process, including a strong AI-driven operation and career growth opportunities, none of which were fulfilled. Do not relocate for this role, they are disorganized and there is no clear direction from leadership. 🚩 Toxic & Unsafe Work Environment The office was often unsanitary, and security was lacking. There were multiple instances of broken windows, daily feces, and crack being offered in the parking lot. Leadership will have inappropriate conversations with you—completely unprofessional and uncomfortable. 🚩 Unrealistic Expectations & Poor Work-Life Balance Frequent last-minute, end-of-day meetings that extended beyond work hours. Requests to work on weekends Lunch breaks were often denied or interrupted 🚩 Questionable Management Practices PTO was advertised as “unlimited” but was later denied after pre-approval Performance reviews were delayed, and feedback was dismissive rather than constructive. I was asked to mislead job candidates about the company’s operations. 🚩 Health & Well-being Ignored You will be pressured to work despite providing doctor's notes The reality of working at Finesse did not match the expectations set during hiring. If you're considering a role here, proceed with caution.
