Pros
When changing jobs, I was hesitant to move to a smaller company but this small company does pact a mighty punch. The company is finally over its start-up phase. Honestly this is the best time to join because the company is continually growing and developing and it's so exciting to be part of this journey. We moved into our office and now come in a few days and it’s a lovely environment as it was harder during COVID19 to get together. It’s a pleasure to work with lovely, knowledgeable, talented and passionate individuals. I would like to highlight this in the hiring process the culture fit is so essential. Almost all of the colleagues I have spoken to like me were interviewed in the 3rd round by the CEO and that is fantastic touch to see how much senior management truly care about the right fit as Fineco is increasing the headcounts per department. On the benefits side the performance management is great as salary reviews are done and there's a good bonus package in comparison to other companies, I have worked in. There is a great focus on development among the health, pension packages which are optional for colleagues. Due to COVID19 it was difficult to have a lot of events but Fineco has organized great events internally and externally. If you are truly ambitious and motivated individual then this is the place for you as you yourself will shape a fantastic career here as you will get a great exposure as you will see the full start to end of the asset process. However, if you just want to work in a basic 9 to 5 finance company with no interest in development or engagement, then Fineco is not for you because they are fostering a fantastic culture here.
Cons
There are generally no cons however due to the nature of the business things could be fast paced and because we are still establishing processes or changing things which could involve long hours to play catch up with the daily day to day stuff. This is of course not expected but since my role has always been dynamic, I am used to this but in the world of Finance this is part of the package you need to be patient, put in the work, trust the process and reap the rewards.
