Pros

Cool product in theory, definitely a need for a payroll api, great teammates from what i got to know

Cons

product isn’t there, lack of vision/leadership, company is being controlled by a board of directors that no one knows, almost no accountability or sense of ownership, no real culture besides the occasional trivia game or virtual escape room, random lay-offs without notice, lack of legitimate career opportunities

Pros

Fantastic team, with a leadership team that is empathetic, flexible and versatile in how they contribute to the different functions in the org. We have one of the best engineering teams I've seen; everyone is willing to support each other on a product that is frankly very difficult to build.

Cons

Not many on this front; its a difficult product to build, and are at times, at the mercy of the providers we integrate with. This can complicate engineering efforts over time.

Pros

friendly people that seem very smart/knowledgeable.

Cons

My experience with Finch’s hiring process was frustrating and ultimately a significant waste of time. The role was initially presented as a Brand Designer position, and I went through multiple rounds of interviews based on that understanding. After completing the interview process, I was informed that the team’s needs had changed and that the position was actually focused on web design. Throughout the process, it seemed there was a lack of alignment on what the role was intended to be and what skills were actually needed. The expectations and responsibilities were not clearly defined, which made the interview experience feel disorganized and misleading. My concern is that the same lack of clarity may extend beyond the hiring process and into the role itself. Candidates considering this opportunity should make sure they have a clear understanding of the position’s scope, responsibilities, and expectations before investing significant time in the interview process.
