It's not about the money (apparently). - Anonymous employee Financial Times Employee Review

Pros

Brand is great; it's a very cool place to say you work. Standard of reporting and depth of analysis seems higher than mainstream broadsheets. Generous holiday allowance. Room to contribute widely if motivated to do so.

Cons

Generosity begins and ends at holidays. Salaries and benefits are as tight as they can get away with. Everyone is on a different package or payscale; there is no "norm", consequently you can guarantee you're being stitched up wherever it's possible. If considering working here, fight for every clause in your contract.

Pros

Great company culture. Low-stress, but most publications are for the most part.

Cons

The pay is very low for all positions in the market. Even for publications. They loose talent because of this.
