Hostile, abusive environment; losing clients. - Senior Vice President Financial Profiles Employee Review

Pros

Good technological platforms; 1 nice MD who hides under his desk from CEO.

Cons

The worst experience in my career and I've been working over 25 year in highly stressful situations. The "God Complex" CEO is an abusive individual who screams and yells at employees, insults and degrades them even on calls with clients. The company hires and fires professionals based on gaining a client or losing a client. Thankful I got out of the insane asylum. She creates unnecessary strife and gossips about employees to others at the firm. The company has decided to layoff a lot of investor relations professionals due to losing clients and now have that division report to the head of public relations who has absolutely no finance or investor relations background. Please find former employees and simply get the truth. Only take a position here if you are unemployed- you will start looking around pretty quick as others have done.

Pros

Some talented and motivated colleagues.

Cons

They say that a fish rots from the head down, and this was my experience of the management at Financial Profiles. The CEO has a volatile temper and thinks nothing of screaming at employees and deriding them both directly and in front of other people. She gossips about staff members to other employees and treats people with utter disrespect. The "CFO" (the husband of the CEO) treats people equally as poorly. At the beginning of my tenure, there were about 35 full time employees. Approximately 13 people remain in full time employment. One might wonder if the company can survive in its current iteration. Additionally, the management team makes decisions that lack honesty and integrity. I have never experienced such a toxic work environment. Leaving this place was the best thing for my overall happiness and health. Other ex-employees have reported feeling the same.
