Pros

I started at Figure in 2021. The pay is great and promotion within the role is fairly easy if you put in the work/KPIs to stand out. My coworkers were all amazing people and I formed great friendships. Certain people in management actually care about your concerns and will bring them to the right people to make sure they’re heard and that changes are made. There’s no dress code, employer-paid premiums for health insurance, and a GREAT quarterly bonus (again, this is determined by how hard you’re willing to work numbers-wise and how well you present yourself among your peers). The hybrid work policy is somewhat flexible wherein you get to choose the 2 days a week you WFH. There are regular 1:1s with your Team Manager, and everyone is very responsive and involved with answering questions and even mundane conversations in Slack. The teamwork and culture of inclusion is wonderful.

Cons

There’s no 401k match and promotions outside of the Senior CSA role are extremely stress-inducing and almost too competitive. Making a few mistakes within your tenure can set you way back. Burnout in this role is very real and for lack of better words, it’s not for the weak. Using PTO and sick time is often used against you if you’re wanting to be promoted to a Supervisor position and the occurrence structure leaves little room for understanding that life happens. The hybrid WFH policy is also strict to the point where it’s arbitrary. Figure is not a great place for working parents based solely on their willingness to be flexible. CSAs are often very young and just starting their careers, so that probably explains it. The maternity leave is great, but get ready to burn through your sick time or get an occurrence every time you have to take PTO and request it if it’s not within the 48-hour notice time frame. There are often changes made to the organization that affect CSAs negatively along with the culture. It often becomes too much for a lot of employees, which again, causes mass burnout.

Pros

I have been with Figure for 5 years, starting as an Associate Engineer and growing into a Senior Engineer. This company has genuinely changed my life and helped me build the kind of future I dreamed about when I was first starting out in college. I’ve worked alongside truly excellent engineers, been given meaningful growth opportunities, and have been more than fairly compensated along the way, including raises that kept my pay highly competitive even between promotions. The work is engaging, challenging, and keeps me sharp. The culture is one of the best parts of the company: a rare blend of fast iteration, high ownership, strong engineering talent, and controlled chaos in the best possible way. Figure moves quickly, embraces emerging technology, and continues to grow without losing the energy that makes it exciting to work here.

Cons

The pace may not be for everyone. Figure has a startup-like culture where things move fast, priorities can shift, and teams are expected to adapt quickly. I personally find that refreshing and motivating because it keeps the work from becoming monotonous. However, people coming from environments where change is slower or processes are more rigid may need time to adjust.

Pros

Free health insurance, the option to work from home, pay was good.

Cons

They hire and fire at will. They have no real training program. They throw all this stuff at you and advise to take notes, then they tell you that you have 3 assessments to take. They tell you that you cant look at any of the documents or tools that they provided to you to do the job. How they expect you to know all that is impossible. Then they let you to believe that you passed and put you on the floor doing the job. Two days later they call you after you go home, to say oh you didnt pass training.. You didnt get the score of 85. Did not matter that I was doing the job and getting high QA scores. and they dont let you repeat training, they just fire you. You are just a number to them and not a human being.
