Thanks for taking the time to share your feedback. If you are a current employee as noted, we strongly encourage you to bring these concerns directly to your manager or HR teams so they can be addressed constructively.
To clarify, our business opens at 8 am, which is an expectation communicated to all employees. Many roles, particularly those in sales, are performance-driven and time-sensitive, so punctuality is very important in this industry. That said, we recognize that unforeseen circumstances happen, and all we ask is that employees communicate delays in accordance with our attendance guidelines, which are outlined in detail in week one of employment. When employees do experience unforeseen circumstances, our focus is on transparency, communication, and teamwork, not punishment.
Regarding weather-related situations, employee safety is always a priority. During recent weather advisories in Michigan, leadership issued multiple company-wide work-from-home days to minimize risk - all employees were instructed to work from home, regardless of role, tenure, etc. When weather conditions are severe, we evaluate circumstances carefully and make decisions that support both employee safety and operational continuity. That said, if you ever disagree with weather-related work-from-home decisions and do not feel safe to leave your home, we provide all full-time employees nearly three weeks of PTO upon employment that you are welcome to use.
Work-from-home eligibility is actually not random or unofficial - we have official work-from-home policies that are based on role structure, tenure, performance, etc. Our Carrier Relations team, tenured sales reps, spot team, specialized teams, and more have official hybrid schedules. Most of these team members are working from home, officially, two days per week.
Our entry-level sales roles are designed to be fully on-site to support training, mentorship, and collaboration. These expectations (as well as the opportunity to earn work from home days with tenure) are communicated throughout the hiring process so candidates can make informed decisions before accepting job offers.
We recognize that workplace policies may not align with everyone's preferences, but our expectations are communicated clearly in both the hiring and onboarding process for new team members. Our policies exist to create a consistent, safe, and high-performing workplace, and we stand behind the expectations we set.
Again, we highly encourage current team members to raise concerns through established internal channels such as anonymous HR submissions, HR open door policies, and our CEO's designated open office hours, so they can be reviewed and addressed appropriately.
