The worst company that I have ever worked for - completely dysfunctional and dishonest culture. - Sales Executive FieldAware Employee Review

Pros

I genuinely respect some of the individuals in the company, particularly in the SE ranks who do their best to guide customers and provide solutions to their business problems - given the challenges that they face it is a tough ask.

Cons

Pretty much everything I was told during the interview process was untrue. The product/ solution does not solve the problems that field service companies are facing and the development team is either devoid of talent or completely underfunded - the net net is that nothing of consequence has been released for the last 18 months at least (thats being generous as the features that were on the website in Q3 2014 when I was interviewing are still not released) . The top management group has given up years ago and is just holding on for the mirage of an IPO payout and no longer does any real work that helps the field or customers - just experts in passing the hot potato. Sales management knows that the solution is not competitive and typically does not provide the benefits that are sold, so focus on creating a sales culture which aims to skip over the deficiencies of the solution and sign the customer up irrespective. The result is massive dissatisfaction and most customers simply do not pay their bills. Do not consider working for this company under any circumstances - it is soul destroying - I guarantee that any positive reviews are created by management.

Pros

Invested in value added, long-term customer relationships with a customer first attitude, even when challenges arise. Positive company culture starting from the top down. FieldAware is growing rapidly, in product capabilities, partnerships and customers.

Cons

Some normal growing pains, but no major cons at this time

Pros

A few employees and the ideology of the product. Company has a laissez-faire attitude.

Cons

It would be easy to write a book about the cons of FieldAware as a company and as a product. The poor management and company decisions were bewildering. If someone on the board reads this I urge you to closely evaluate every department including the CEO (Charlie). At this point I don't believe the company can bounce back, but that would be a great starting point. ~The product (software) is bad, often crashes, looks like something built in the 80's and isn't configurable (contrary to what is sold). ~Customers are not valued and often internally laughed at. ~The product team is incompetent and unable to build features promoted for various releases. If they manage to release something it's often broken or incomplete. ~Unable to advance/be promoted ~Company recently closed several offices and laid-off almost half the employees to make ends meet.
