      Easy to build reputation and showcase past work

      Cons

      Jobs arent always available nearby. You have to weigh the cost of fuel to justify going greater distances.

      I control my own schedule. Every job and location is different unless it's a project.

      Cons

      The consistency of pay is the only con for me. I have no issues with payments. It's the nature of contract work.
