Pros

35 hour work week with early finish on Friday and no weekends Lively company culture Hard work is rewarded with incentives. Training is there for the people that want it.

Cons

My experience at Fidelity was pretty terrible. They have no interest in developing salespeople, only hiring them. What I mean by this is that they will fire you, if you don't get sales (statements) straightaway. I saw people work themselves silly, only to get sacked in the first two weeks because they didn't have lots of sales under their belt. It's an entry level role, so your candidates will be inexperienced, how does this make any sense? Company culture is highly toxic. There is lots of cliques and you will feel like an outsider if you don't adhere to the companies values. It's almost like a discounted Wolf of wall street movie. You will be more likely to be kept on if they 'like' you and you fit in with the crowd. If you manage to make it past probation (Which you will probably won't) you aren't even given job security. If you hit target they will increase your targets the next month, if you miss these newly increased targets, you job will start to be questioned VERY QUICKLY. They reward hard work with higher targets, and as soon as you stop performing, Guess what? Sacked. Out of the 10-12 people that I was hired with , almost none of them stayed, they either quit, or got fired. Avoid this company.

Pros

Friendly people, get to meet nice work mates

Cons

1. Structure: During interview, questions of ability to learn and transferable skills were more important to them than actual sales experience, (seems right as it's a graduate's job). They overly emphasised on providing training, but the training given lasted "2 days". 2. Culture: Management was not transparent on true intentions, such as hidden schemes of firing people unexpectedly after 3 or 4 days, no true training on sales but expected to make 100 calls a day as well as generating sales. Work mates have a "clique" type of culture, as well as favouritism from upper management and CEO. I can't make this up, the company hired about 10-15 people at start to fire half after 4 days and the rest at a later point with people disappearing everyday. 3. Unnecessary leadership promotion to trick people to being contempt with poor salary and give them a sense of importance.
