Pros

- Base salary is good and similar to other companies in the area - Commission is based on your own work - if you are willing to work hard, you can do well - Young staff - recent college grads fit in well and most of the staff is friends outside of work too, makes it enjoyable - Really fast paced - days fly by and it's challenging work with problem solving, not just calling - They realy do promote from within. I haven't seen them bring in any outside managers during my time. Also, promotions are based on ability, not seniority. If you are good, you can get promoted quick - you don't have to wait for someone else to move on or retire like many companies - It is an interesting industry to work in

Cons

- It is all phone work and mostly outbound, it can get boring for someone who is not aggressive or competitive - you have to have the drive and be willing to put in hard work to be successful at this It's a true outbound calling sales position, if that isn't what you want to do, this isn't going to be a good fit for you

Pros

hours are great. coworkers are great for the most part. good sales/negotiating experience.

Cons

Account Executives don't really start making good commission until at least a year into the job. A new person gets fired or leaves for another job literally every other week. No job security at all unless you're the best of the best. Base pay isn't the greatest. Some of the directors are not nice people at all. Be prepared to be on the phone all day long, every single day. You get yelled at for being off the phone for a few minutes. In the time that I was there, only 2 out of 5 AE's were somewhat successful and that's mainly because they were given accounts to manage while the rest of us were hung out to dry. This place is a revolving door. They hire a bunch of people and then fire most of the same people months later.

Fetch Logistics Response

Thank you for taking the time to provide your feedback. We are sorry to hear that your time with Fetch wasn't what you expected. We do our best during the interview process to present a transparent look at what a career in sales will be like, including the amount of time it takes to build your book of business from the ground up and the performance expectations that come with a sales position (i.e. making cold calls, being pushed to produce, etc). In regards to training: we are constantly looking for ways to improve and are currently implementing an extended 6 month Account Executive training program that will ensure all newly hired associates receive the assistance they need to thrive. We aim to hire team members who have the same drive, determination and self-motivation that our most successful associates embody, but unfortunately not everyone is a fit for the fast-paced sales environment at Fetch Logistics. We strive to create a work environment that is both financially lucrative and rewarding for our team members, and appreciate the suggestions you've made.
