The corporate level employees of Federal-Mogul do not seem to care about anything but pleasing investors and making money. Plant is often ignored when it comes to engineering projects for improving the manufacturing process. Many staff-level employees are unqualified to do their jobs. At least half of the salary level work force in Cambridge could be eliminated without any effect on production.
